You don't need to go far if you are looking for something to do while staying with us...

Waitakere Estate boasts a variety of on site activities for guests.

Bush Walking
There are various walks straight from Waitakere Estate and many others in the surrounding Waitakere Ranges Regional Park. The walks vary in length from a few minutes to a few hours and take in the beautiful native forest and the rugged West Coast. Due to our unique location, there are some fantastic bush walks available on site at the Estate. Our guests may collect a map of the available walks at reception.

The Ridge Track
The Ridge Track has a gravel surface and is suitable for all weather conditions. The track starts with a long descent down a series of steps. The Ridge Track walk takes around 15-20 minutes.

The Kauri Track
The track is suitable for moderate levels of fitness. Please note the Kauri Track is a clay track and is not suitable for walking in wet conditions due to a sometimes very slippery and muddy surface. It takes about 20-30 minutes to walk to the end of this track depending on your fitness. Allow one hour to walk there and back.

Jogging
Several jogging routes are around Waitakere Estate, ranging from gentle inclines to some challenging up-hill runs. Please ask our friendly staff at reception if you would like to find out more about the local jogging circuits. We are always happy to help.

Sauna
Our Swedish Dry Sauna is ideal for some relaxation after an active day. A sauna improves circulation, relieve internal congestion and promote elimination of toxins. There is hardly a better way to cleanse the body and mind!

Squash
Waitakere Estate has a squash court available exclusively for our guests to use. Rackets and balls are available from reception.

Swimming Pool
At 20 metres long, the pool at Auckland's Waitakere Estate is ideal for swimming a few laps, or for just relaxing bythe pool with a drink and some nibbles and maybe even a good read.

Petanque and Croquet
Enjoy a leisurely game of boules or croquet in our beautiful gardens. All the equipment is available for our guests from reception.

Helicopter Sightseeing
The spectacular scenery and dramatic West Coast coastline and Auckland City can be viewed by Helitranz Helicopter, departing from the Estate helipad. We have all the information ready for you at reception. Click here to find out about our Heli Dining.
